Center-Based Learning
Our Center-Based Learning curriculum offers:
A dynamic and engaging approach to early childhood education. Based on the principles of active learning and play-based exploration, our program provides a variety of learning centers and activities where children can explore and discover. Our classrooms are thoughtfully organized offering stimulating areas, materials, activities, and opportunities for children to develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. Here are some examples of possible centers or activities you may find in our preschool classrooms:
Blocks:
These activities feature different types of blocks and construction materials, allowing children to build, stack, and create structures. It encourages spatial awareness, problem-solving, and fine motor skills.
Language/Literacy:
These activities focus on promoting early language, vocabulary and literacy skills. It may include a cozy reading nook with a variety of age-appropriate books, puppets, flashcards, and storytelling props.
Math/Manipulative:
The math/manipulative activities offer a range of manipulative materials and games that support early math skills and concepts. They may include puzzles, counting objects, sorting activities, pattern blocks, shape sorters, and number cards. This area allows children to develop numeracy skills, logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and spatial awareness.
Dramatic Play Area:
The dramatic play area is designed to stimulate imaginative play and social interactions. It may feature a kitchen set, dress-up clothes, dolls, puppets, and props that reflect different real-world scenarios. This area allows children to engage in pretend play, develop language skills, and practice social roles and relationships.
Sensorial:
The sensorial activities offers sensory experiences using materials like sand, water, rice, or sensory bins. It provides opportunities for tactile exploration, fine motor skill development, and scientific discovery. In the language/literacy context, it can also be used for letter or word sensory activities, such as tracing letters in sand or searching for letters in a bin of rice.
Science/Discovery Center:
The science/discovery corner engages children in hands-on exploration of the natural world. It may include magnifying glasses, natural objects, sensory materials, simple science experiments, and observation tools. This area encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for inquiry-based learning.
Writing Center:
The writing center offers various writing tools, paper, and alphabet materials. It promotes pre-writing skills, letter recognition, and encourages children to practice writing their names or drawing pictures to communicate their ideas.

Our experienced teachers facilitate learning experiences, encourage problem-solving, and promote critical thinking through hands-on engagement. Our center-based approach ensures a well-rounded education that supports holistic development and prepares children for future academic success.
